About

I build software and put it on the internet for people I’ll mostly never meet.

I’m an independent developer. I come up with products, design them, build them front to back, release them, and then spend a long time making them better based on what people actually do with them.

Most of that work lives in the Shopify ecosystem. Under Concat Apps I make and maintain apps for merchants: PopSpin, which turns email popups into small games, and quieter tools like Boostly, ViewSight and Post Purchase Survey.

Outside Shopify, I run Find Similar Products, a search engine that helps shoppers find lookalikes and better prices across independent stores. And right now I’m building Shopify Partners Analytics, for people who, like me, run more than one app and want to understand how they’re doing.

I like the practical side too: pricing, support, listings, the numbers. Building software is the fun part, but running it is where you learn what was worth building.

  1. Ship it small, then listen

The first version is a question. The answers come from the people using it, so I try to get it in front of them early.

  2. Design is part of the job

How something looks and feels is how people understand it, so I treat design as part of building, not decoration on top.

  3. Look after what you ship

Launch day is the start. Fixes, support replies and small improvements are most of the work, and most of the value.

  4. Stay a bit too curious

Curiosity is where new ideas come from. Some turn into products, some turn into playground toys. Both are fine.

Launch dates come from the public App Store listings, oldest first. The last two don’t have a date to show.
